Common problem about Sony HDR-CX700
1: How to import Sony HDR-CX700 AVCHD video to Mac or Windows?
Sony HDR-CX700 records1920 x 1080 Full High Definition quality Video in AVCHD and Digital 5.1 channel recording captures active sounds coming from all directions, so you can experience your home movies the way you experienced them while recording. However, AVCHD is not a widely compatible formats.
For example:
iMovie, FCE, FCP etc famous video editor can not supports AVCHD formats, we need to convert AVCHD, MTS, M2TS files to MOV, DV, MP4 etc using AVCHD Converter Mac, then import Sony HDR-CX700 AVCHD video to iMovie, FCE, FCP Mac.
Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas etc also can not accepted AVCHD files natively. So we need to convert AVCHD, MTS, M2TS files to AVI, WMV, MPG using AVCHD video converter, then import Sony HDR-CX700V AVCHD video to WMM, SV, Adobe Premiere Pro, iPad, iPhone, iPod, DVD creator.
2: What's the different among Sony HDR-CX700, Sony HDR-CX700V, Sony HDR-CX700E
In fact, there is no difference among them. Sony did not integrated 32 languages, so the language of the interface is different. The letter V or E is just used to identify the version of the machine. Such as CX700V(NTSC) is a video format used in North America, Central America, Japan, and parts of South America. , CX700E (PAL) is the video format used in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, most of Asia, and parts of South America.
3: Compare among Sony CX700, Panasonic TM900 and Canon vixia hf g10
"Which camcorder(Sony CX700, Panasonic TM900 and Canon Vixia HF G10) do you think is better overall? Which will be better in low light?"
In fact, all are good, but if i can only own one, i will choose Sony CX700. Because Canon HF G10 does not have 60p at full resolution and TM900 needs more light because it uses a prism to divide the light between three sensors. The Canon is probably the best in low light, but it is far more dear, Sony CX70 is middle of the price spectrum here, has the widest viewing angle, which is useful indoors.
